Owning documents is not the same as being able to prove diligence.

dossierwerk was created around a simple observation:

Many importing companies already hold test reports, declarations of conformity, labels, instructions and supplier correspondence. What is often missing is a clear record of what was reviewed, who made a decision, which gaps existed and how those gaps were handled.

That is the problem dossierwerk is built to solve.

Why dossierwerk exists

When an authority, business partner, insurer or claimant asks questions months or years later, a folder of documents may not be enough.

The process behind those documents also matters:

The aim is not to generate more paperwork. The aim is to make the diligence process behind the paperwork provable.

What dossierwerk is not

dossierwerk is not a testing laboratory, certification body or legal adviser.

The platform does not:

physically test products;

–

issue product certificates;

–

guarantee compliance or product safety;

–

replace legal, regulatory or technical professional review.

dossierwerk structures and assesses the evidence available in the system. Responsibility for the product and the related regulatory decisions remains with the relevant economic operator.
